Abie Camera Strap Giveaway!

The contest is now over. Please scroll down to see who won!
I am so excited to share with you about my MOST FAVORITE CAMERA STRAP EVER and how you can win one of your own!!! You don't have to be a professional photographer to enter! If you have a camera that requires a strap.....this is for YOU!
I've used a lot of different camera straps over the years and hands down, my Abie Camera Strap is my favorite. I first found out about Abie Straps a few years ago from my sweet friend Angie. She had posted a picture of her shooting one day and I fell in LOVE with the strap she had. She swore by hers so I ordered one the next day. Since I received my strap, it hasn't left my camera. Okay, only when David needs to use it. Abie Straps are made so incredibly well! I'm telling you, when I have my 70-200mm lens on my camera about 80% of the time, it's got to be strong because that puppy is heavy! And the strap still looks like new after using it for two years.
There are so many reasons why I prefer to use a camera strap. Let me start off by saying this. Last summer, Jasmine did a blog post about not using a camera strap and one of her reasons was because it makes you look more professional? Don't worry, she and I already had dialogue about this topic and we both have our own personal reasons. Here are MY reasons for using a camera strap and why you should enter to win one of these beauties. First, you are carrying about $6000 worth of equipment around your neck, what if you drop it because you don't have a strap? Yes, there's always that hefty insurance policy you have, but why risk it? Heaven forbid that you are doing a newborn session and the camera slips out of your hand. Or, you have to pick up one of your little clients quickly because a swarm of bees is coming towards them, where's your camera? Or, you are traipsing through a field with your clients because you want to achieve a certain look and feel of an image and your camera falls in a bunch of horse poop! Are you catching my drift as to why it is so important to use a good quality camera strap to protect your investment? I ALWAYS wear my camera and strap going across my body aka sling carry. Sometimes I'm also wearing my Shootsac so it just makes it easier when things are going across my body rather then around my neck.
The owner and creator of Abie Straps Ellen LeRoy is the sweetest, generous, most caring artist. She has a thriving wedding and portrait business in North Carolina and uses 100% of the profits from Abie Straps to give back to those in need! All of those profits will go restore sight and prevent avoidable blindness in third world countries. I love what she shared with me about giving back, "so that everyone can see the beauty we photographers appreciate in our photographs."
*Now, if I wasn't wearing my Abie Strap, I wouldn't have been able to snuggle with these cuties pictured above. (all iphone pics)
