Can you believe it? Jeremiah, Cedar, Jonah and Jordan turned five at the end of March.

I just adore these kiddos and as I tell Phil and Amy, each session just gets a little easier. We did their session a few weeks back on that Friday morning when it was about 90 degrees at 8 a.m. It was quite warm, but we all managed. And I'll say it again, I LOVE morning light at this location!

Phil and Amy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us the opportunity to continue to document Jeremiah, Cedar, Jonah and Jordan. You all bring so much joy to our lives and treasure each moment with you. We love you! Love, Tira J and David.

Sweet and tender hearted Mr. Jeremiah! I'll blog soon about the special gift he gave me at church on Sunday.

It's a good thing Miss Cedar has three brothers to watch over her! She's a knockout!

The last few weeks of my life have been nothing short of amazing and also very challenging. I took the time to read the Holstee Manifesto again to help put things in perspective and bring me back to reality. If you haven't read this, please take some time to do so. My favorite part of this is "Do what you love and do it often". Amen! Holstee was featured on Mashable this week too. If you aren't following Mashable, you are missing out! Pete and his team are brilliant! The wealth of information that is shared on this website, twitter and facebook will keep you in tune with social media news, business, life, etc.

Some of the things I am currently working on: editing some gorgeous family sessions, working with my sweet and awesome mentor and PPA Studio Management Services to kick some major tushy with my business over the next few months, and taking time for ME and my family!

What can I say? I love this family!

They were so much fun to work with and we had a blast during their session. I connected with Melissa, David, Jacob, Cassie and Trevor through Megan's Wings, a local foundation here in our town that helps out families with kiddos that are undergoing treatment for cancer. Jacob, who is a senior this year, was very good friends with Megan, so this was a special opportunity and connection.

Thank you Melissa, David, Jacob, Cassie and Trevor for supporting Megan's Wings, and for giving me the opportunity to create some new memories for you all. I can't wait for you to see the rest of your images. Hugs, Tira J.

Enjoying: The cooler weather for today only I am sure. We have had the weirdest weather. A week ago, it was gushing rain, thunder, lightning. This past weekend, it was 95 degrees and today's high is 61 in Los Angeles. All righty then! Get your sweats and flip flops out.

Watching (ed): Honestly, I haven't had a chance to watch a lot lately. I am about 5 weeks behind on Smash and The Firm. Please don't tell me what happens. I'll catch up eventually.

Currently Reading (ed): I'm almost done reading Sarah Petty and Erin Verbeck's new book titled, Worth Every Penny. If you are a business owner, this book is a must! As I have already shared with Sarah and Erin, I've had so many a ha moments and wish this book was around a few years ago.

Looking forward to: Sharing some awesome families with you! Speaking of families, I still have a few openings left for Spring family portrait sessions, so if you want to get in before it gets too hot and all the flowers go away, give me a call.

A few weeks back, I traveled out to Palm Desert to spend some time with Julie's entire family while they were on vacation. Julie's parents, brother, sister in law, niece and nephew came down from Oregon to enjoy the fresh California sun! It truly doesn't get any better than 85 degrees at the end of March.

This past fall, David and I had our holiday portraits done by our friend Amber Fox. When I hired Amber for this project, I shared with her my ultimate goal, and that was to proudly display some canvas prints in our home. One thing that I love to see when doing a collection of canvas prints is the consistency in the images whether it is the light, color, background or all of the above.

We have some HUGE walls in our current house and we really need to continue to fill them up. So, I finally found time to order our canvas wraps for the entry way. I also thought it was time for clients to see our personal canvas prints along with the ones in the studio.

This collection is a 20x32 canvas wrap and three 10x13 canvas wraps.

I need to stop and give credit to Ariana Falerni from Photographers Wall Displays for creating templates that truly help make these walls possible. Ariana is super talented and is the sweetest gal ever. She featured our living room in a video on her website last year and if you want to see it, you can click here.

*Photographers, if you want to help your clients get a true vision of how their images can look over a couch, in their bedroom, the kiddos play room or even in a hallway, you must check out her templates. We know that all of our clients who see the recommendations get amazed that an 8x10 isn't so big any longer.

We chose to add black around the edges of the canvas just like a lot of our new client canvas wraps in order to give them a finished look.

Ah! Sweet little man Jonah came to see me last week. Remember when I said that our accounting professors first grandson was coming to see me? Well, this is him. Yep, both David and I took accounting from his grandfather. Isn't he a handsome little guy? His parents, Erin and Steve are madly in love with him, so is the entire family!
