What is your desire for success?

Earlier this morning, I posted this image to my Instagram account and since then I've been trying to process this quote from Bill Cosby.

After having some in depth conversations with David and our friends about what their goals and dreams for the future are, it became evident that our greatest fear is that we are going to fail, so why bother dreaming about success?

I'll admit, I am afraid of my success sometimes and there is this voice in the back of my head that constantly says "if you do that, people aren't going to like you, or you are just going to fail at it, so why bother". Yes, that actually happens in my life! We are our own worst enemies! It stinks, but it's true. For me, I have the desire for success to be a better wife, daughter, sister, friend, mother, child of God, and then a photographer and business owner. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a photographer and business owner, but if I didn't have the desire for success in all of those areas of my life, I would probably fail.

The definition of failure is an act or instance of failing or proving unsuccessful; lack of success.

But...

The definition of success is the accomplishment of one's goals.

So, here's to success my friends! As Mr. Cosby says, we must have the desire for success in this lifetime, whether it be success at our jobs and businesses, raising our families, loving our friends, loving Jesus, doing better in school, or just wanting to be a better human being.
What is your definition and/or desire for success?
