Feb. 20, 2009 Our Life

In one of my meetings on campus this week, a friend shared the passage below as part of her devotion. A faculty member had actually shared it with her a while back, and now I am going to share it with you. I did a little research on the passage and found that Mother Theresa had something similar to this text hanging on the walls of the orphanages. A little disclaimer; I am no Theologian, or grand master at understanding how and why God does things in our lives, and this blog will often have random entries such as this because that is who I am. What I do know is that the passage below spoke to me yesterday and I hope you will take the time to read it, think about it, and maybe leave a comment below as to how it touched you. Technorati Profile
People are often unreasonable, Illogical, and self-centered
Forgive them anyway
If you are kind People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives
Be kind anyway
If you are successful, You will win some false friends and some true enemies
Succeed anyway
If you are honest and frank, People may cheat you
Be honest and frank anyway
What you spend years building, Someone could destroy overnight
Build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, They may be jealous
Be happy anyway
The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow
Do good anyway
Give the world the best you have, And it may never be enough
Give the world the best you've got anyway
You see, in the final analysis It is between you and God . . .
It never was between you and them anyway
Happy Friday!
