10:30 p.m.

She is my little best friend and I love her so much, but there comes a time when she just gets a little annoying! Not really! What Tinkerbell does at 10:30 p.m. every single night will amaze some of you!

In our house, we typically don't go to bed until around 11 p.m. I know what some of you are thinking, that is so late! Well, when you are both working full time, you only have a few hours in the evening to get things done and to spend some quality time together, that is what works. A lot of times, we are catching up on our Law & Order episodes or we are up here in our office working on things for our business or surfing the net. So, like clock work, similar to this post, at 10:30 p.m. every single night, Tinkerbell comes to one of us and begins to rub her cute little self against us and starts talking aka meowing. We think she is saying, "c'mon, it's time to go to bed, and I am ready....let's go people"! Every single night!

What is she going to do tonight when the time changes? It will be interesting to see and I will let you know! For now, she is enjoying her weekend!

Don't forget to turn your clocks back on hour this weekend.

Whip It Up Wednesday: C3 Cookies

When I came home a few days ago from a shoot, look what I was surprised with! David went crazy in the kitchen and made the most amazing chocolate chocolate chip cookies in the world!

Seriously, I don't think I have had a better cookie and I am not just saying that because he is my husband. If you like Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies with a little KICK, you will love these!

C3 Cookies – Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, and Coffee* Cookies
*secret ingredient

Ingredients

4 cups (two 12-oz. pkgs.) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon instant coffee powder (*secret ingredient) If you want mocha cookies, add 1 Tablespoon of coffee powder.
3 large eggs

Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F.

Melt 2 cups (one 12-oz. pkg) of chips in small, heavy-duty saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl (sifting the flour makes for a fluffier cookie). Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in melted chocolate chips and coffee powder. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips. Drop by small ice cream scoop on to baking parchment (do not use wax paper) placed on top of a baking sheet. Use the bottom of the ice cream scoop to dimple the top of the batter for a nice even cookie. You can preload multiple sheets of parchment to have ready for baking.

BAKE for approximately 12 minutes or until cookies are puffed. Slide parchment off cookie sheet and cool on suitable countertop or wire racks. Slide on new batch and repeat.

Los Angeles Engagement Session, Lita and David

Their paths might have crossed a thousand times prior to them officially meeting, but God knew that they were destined to be with each other. They had mutual friends who had come together and decided that Lita and David would be perfect for each other. Fast forward almost a year, they are now getting married! Lita and David are a perfect pair. They finish each other's sentences, giggle at some of the smallest yet silliest things, and have a love so strong, that nothing is going to break the bond that holds them together.

Before we met for their engagement session, I shared with Lita and David that they should pick a location that is meaningful to them and their relationship. We traveled down to Olvera Street in Los Angeles for their engagement session, and had a blast. David's grandfather actually witnessed to others by sharing the Word on the corner right outside the La Placita Church and across from Union Station. After exploring Olvera Street, we ventured across the street to the historic Union Station, which wonderful!

*Lita and David, I am so excited for your upcoming wedding this December, it is going to be a beautiful day centered around your love for one another. Lita, I am thrilled that we have been reconnected after so many years! Just like old times! Love you both, Tira J.

Of course the vendor of the sombrero's let me borrow them as props!

Lita is so full of laughter! I think we laughed throughout the entire session. You see, Lita and I were in a singles group together over 15 years ago at Lake Avenue Church and through some wonderful friends, became re-connected. Thanks Amy and Laura!

Towards the end of our time together, we found this awesome field right outside downtown Los Angeles! I love, love, love the sunset!

Los Angeles Engagement Session, Sneak Peek!

I just had a huge weekend and am now getting ready to catch up. I purposely took the day off of work (APU) today so I could get some extra rest. Saturday, I went down to Los Angeles with a great couple to do their engagement session, and then on Sunday, I had the privilege of attending the U2 concert at the Rose Bowl with some friends. All I have to say about that concert is WOW! They are still a phenomenal group and I am still in love with the music like it was yesterday in High School when the Joshua Tree album came out. Have a beautiful day!

Yucaipa Wedding: Michelle & Randy

If you remember, a few months ago, I had the opportunity to do some special portraits for Randy and Michelle. In my opinion, the post from that session, pretty much sums up how we arrived to a very special Saturday afternoon in October.

Randy and Michelle entrusted me to continue to document their love for one another and I was truly over filled with joy to do so. Their wedding ceremony was a small back yard event where their family and close friends witnessed the union of marriage between them.

*Randy & Michelle, thank you for the opportunity to document your special day. I love you both and am so thrilled that almost a year ago, I took the chance to ask the big question about you both. Your love and devotion for one another is true and pure and I am blessed to call you my friends. Much love, Tira J.

The next few are my favorites of Michelle. I love how classy and elegant she looks.

My favorite of the day.

The handsome groom.

One of David's favorites of the day. For photographers, this image and the first one for this post were both shot with an 85 1.2, 400 ISO, 1.2 and 1/6400. I love how "buttery" the images are with this lens.

Michelle and Randy with Randy's sons.

Michelle and Randy with Michelle's Mom.

Michelle with her siblings and their Mom.

Michelle has two daughters and one son. Mark walked Michelle down the aisle and gave his Mom away. They are both beaming.

Dr. Jon R. Wallace, President of Azusa Pacific University and close friend to Michelle and Randy, officiated the ceremony.

During the prayer, the neighbor's dog started to bark. I just love how Randy is so happy in this picture. No matter what, he was getting married.
