A Winner & A Sneak Peek, Fullerton Senior Photographer

Last week, I was asked if I had chosen a winner from the Cinnamon Sticks giveaway. Sadly, I was so crazy busy last week with so much going on in my personal life, that my blog sort of took a back seat. Sorry. The great news is that I am back and everything is great on the other side of my life.

Here's a little sneak peek from Sasha's senior session I did last week. She was having so much fun with her little puppy Macy. More to come.

And in other news, there is a winner of the fun Cinnamon Sticks giveaway, and that is Marsha! Congrats! I will be sending you your prize soon!

Happy Thursday!

Leather Craftsmen Albums

Isn't it gorgeous?

I was like a kid in the candy store, jumping up and down when the UPS man came to our house yesterday, as I was cleaning up the house so David could host a meeting, everything happened so quickly. And then my friend JJ called so I could tell her all about it! So excited!

My very first sample album arrived from my new album company, Leather Craftsmen. As you know, I had been using KISS for the past few years and I have truly loved their service and products, but felt it was time to take my client albums to the next level by offering some more custom selections.

Leather Craftsmen offeres many different album styles, leather and fabric colors. I have chosen to offer my clients the 3500 series, which is a very clean and elegant album that can be custom designed to your hearts desire. Seniors, you can get a custom album with your school colors!

I love that my logo was stamped on the box. Just love it.

This album was done with the thin white pages, which I will only offer to a client who wants it. Moving forward, all of our Leather Craftsmen albums will come with the standard pages. I have a few more albums coming soon, so I will definitely blog about those.

And my logo gets stamped inside the album as well. Again, with the standard pages, the inside of the album will be black and the logo will be branded/embossed inside.

The entire album was designed in Photojunction using Melissa Jill's album templates, which I adore!

LOVE the attention to detail of these albums. Last year, Hanssie and I attended a business class down at Leather Craftsmen in Santa Ana and then had a tour of the facility. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the love and care that went into every single album.

The 3500 Album has so many options. Clients can opt to have their names embossed on the front of the album, or on the spine. And you can choose from different ink colors. You can also choose from having a horizontal, vertical or square image on the front. All of our new portrait collections and senior collections include a Leather Craftsmen Album.

I'm in love!!!

Contest time! It's a Giveaway from Cinnamon Sticks!

Happy Friday! It's my very first giveaway here on the blog!

I received this beautiful necklace a few months back and misplaced it. Then it mysteriously appeared again. When I was ready to do the giveaway, I noticed that Canela, owner of Cinnamon Sticks was on vacation, so I signed up to be notified of her return and guess what? She's back!

She made this necklace for me and I just adore it! Almost all of her jewelry is able to be customized and she is so talented. Don't you want something from her? Now's your chance!

Here's the "skinny" for the giveaway!

1. Go to Canela's Etsy Shop and pick out your favorite item that is $60 or less.

2. Come back here to the blog and leave a comment to tell me which item it is.

3. Follow me on Twitter and/or like Tira J Photography on Facebook

4. Come back here to the blog and tell me what your favorite personal picture of all time is. Could be you and your Mama, siblings, etc.

And don't forget to subscribe to the blog via RSS in your reader!

Good Luck! Contest ends Monday, August 9th at noon PST.

And here's the skinny! I need one young man and one young woman from each high school. I've created this great application for you to fill out to see if we will be a great fit CLICK HERE TO APPLY.

If you don't see your high school listed, you can still apply!

And now I am sure you are wondering what you will get for representing Tira J Photography.

*Two senior portrait sessions. One in the fall and one in the spring. Both sessions are FREE with three referrals sent in by November 1st and three sent in by March 1st.

*Lots of great goodies like custom referral cards to hand out to your friends, a custom blog post with the top images, discounts on prints and albums, and a slideshow set to your favorite song. And.....for sending referrals my way you can get tons of great stuff like free prints, websized images for facebook, accordian albums, image boxes, print credit and gift certificates to your favorite stores.

Arizona Bound!

This morning, I am on my way to Arizona for the Chicks who Click Retreat sponsored by PPA Charities. I have been looking forward to this trip for a long time to just get away, hang with a bunch of new and old friends, and learn more about the photography industry. The cool thing...it's all women! Hint Hint...Chicks who Click! David will be staying home with the kitties, and he even let me drive his car because it gets better gas mileage.

Before I check into my hotel though, I am having lunch with the wonderfully sweet and super talented Melissa Jill and Allison Bess. Melissa Jill is sort of the reason I got into this whole thing, as that's an entirely separate blog post. I can't wait to hang out with Melissa and Allison, and I am super excited to meet Dixie Dog! Melissa's dog whose the most famous pup in Arizona.

I will be out of the "office" until Sunday evening, so all emails and phone calls will be returned Monday.

Have a great weekend!

*This image was taken on our last trip to Arizona back in 2004. Can't wait to get some updated images of the famous Saguaro cactus
